On Saybia.com there is a message from SAYBIA! Finally some news after a long period of silence! They speak about their past tour, the old (second) album and their new studio and album!

Saybia has been nominated for Best Danish Artist and Best Nordic Artist at the annual Nordic Music Awards, which will be held on the 29th of October in Copenhagen.

So cross your fingers or - if you live in Norway, Sweden or Denmark - go vote for them!

If you missed the concert at this year Pinkpop festival in the Netherlands or you just want to listen to Saybia's performance again then you should go here.
Thanks to this website 3voor12 from VPRO you can listen to 15 minutes of the concert and even Worst Case Scenario, which will be on the special festival edition of These Are the Days and on the Guardian Angel single.

ON May 6th a special edition of These Are The Days will be released. You can get the entire album plus an cd with this tracklist:

4. The Haunted House On The Hill (live version).

It is also possible just to get the new single, which will be - as you may have guessed from this - Guardian Angel!
The live tracks were recorded in Oosterpoort February 18th 2005.

Saybia will have a busy Summer - they are going to play at many festivals in Denmark after visiting the far East, where they will play in China and Japan. There will be plenty of flying as they will play two concerts in China, then come back to Europe and perform at Pinkpop and go back to China and Japan to play again.
Norwegians and Swedes will also get the opportunity to listen to some good music in June - Saybia cancelled Rock Under Broen in Denmark to go to Norway and play a benefit concert for HIV/AIDS.
Finally Greenland will also be payed a visit last in August.

A message here yesterday said that we had the lyrics to 3 new songs from the new EP, but these (good) lyrics were written by Harry, not Søren Huss...
Sorry about that, but we are glad that someone did fall for it and posted their opinion on the forum! Feel free to go to the forum and relieve your feelings if we managed to fool you!

But it is not a joke that www.musik.dk says in a concert review that the release date of the new EP will be in July and not September as earlier stated. We will let you know of course when there is anything new in this matter.

This year's Danish Music Awards will take place on the 5th of March and Saybia are both performing and nominated.
This time they have been nominated in 3 categories:

Saybia is up against some tough competition, so we all cross our fingers and hope for them to win something!

A new EP will presumably be released in September and will include the 3 new songs Saybia have been playing on this tour; “Worst Case Scenario”, “Crazy Blue”, and “Couldn’t Care Less”. According to the lucky people, who have already heard them, Saybia can only be proud of these new songs!

The third single "Bend the Rules" will be released on March 14 and will include two live recordings from Midtfyns Festivalen 1999; "Snaketongued Beast" and "Don't Break Me".

Only less than one week to go... The Saybia Fansite Nederland interview with Saybia themselves! Because we want to make a useful selection of the questions, we set the deadline to send in your questions to wednesday february 16th. This is your last chance to come up with some original questions on which you would like to hear the answer from the bandmembers themselves!

We from the Saybia Fansite Nederland, will be interviewing Saybia on their upcoming tour in the Netherlands!

We could think of some questions that they already get in every interview, but we want this interview to be more special since it comes from their biggest fan community! That's why we ask YOU to come with 1 question of which you would always have wanted the answer from the bandmembers themselves! We will ask the best questions provided to the band during the interview!

Support acts for Saybia on the coming tour will be:

The Support-act for the concert in Dublin has finally been revealed! The band "Blackbud" will play with Saybia in the Sugar Club. The starting time is still unknown but we will keep you up-to-date!

Also, if you know bands who are supporting Saybia on their upcoming tour, but who are not in our list yet, please let us know!

Many news from Saybia these days! And they are all good! Here it goes:

- there will be a lot of concerts the next months, now also in Ireland, France, Japan, Italy, Germany and a charity concert in Copenhagen later this month.
- 40,000 sold copies makes TATD a platinum record! Congratulations from here!
- Saybia will soon be back in studio and record new songs, which will hopefully result in an album to be released this spring!
- we have had a poll on the forum for the third single from TATD and seems we were pretty close to the right answer as it will be Bend the Rules (which came in second in our poll).

A few more festivals have been added to the concert list; Danmarks Smukkeste Festival, Rock Under Broen, and Nord-Als Musikfestival.

Belgium will also get the concert they missed when Saybia had to cancel in November and this will be on February 22nd.

The people has fallen in love with "I Surrender"! Saybia are still on MTV's Up North chart and the song is still #1!

Saybia will visit London on 31st of January and after the three gigs in the Nederlands they will continue on to Switzerland and play in Zürich and Vevey on the 24th and 25th of February.
According to www.kulturport.dk/ Saybia will also play in Grenå, Denmark on March 17th. This concert is not on the official site though as the concerts in Switzerland are announced on www.skandinavian.dk, but not on the official site.

Tooza will not be the support act for Saybia on the Austrian tour, which starts tomorrow, after all. According to the official Tooza website, Saybia broke off the arrangement, because Tooza makes too hard music. Tooza writes this on their site about the cancellation:

The concert tonight, November 7th, in Belgium has been cancelled due to illness.
We hope that the patient will be better soon!

There is no reason to waste any time! The lyrics to "Får Drømmen Aldrig Fred?" (translation might be added later if needed) and "You & Me" from the new "I Surrender" single are now available in the lyrics section.

Malmø, Stockholm and Gothenburg have to miss out on Saybia this time round because of illness in the band, but luckily the tour will continue aftes these 3 concerts.

It seems that the tracklist on the new "I Surrender" single has been changed! Instead of the previously announced live recording from the release party at Trekroner, there will be an old demo song from 2000 called "You and Me"!

The new single "I surrender" will be released on November 1st and will also have the Danish song "Får drømmen aldrig fred?", which was made for the "Bevar Christiania" album (different Danish artists made this album to save Christiania). Here is the track list:

So how is the new album doing? Well, pretty good:
- 20,000 sold records on the first day, resulting in a gold record.
- the album is #8 on the Dutch saleschart.
- and now #1 on the Danish saleschart.
- Brilliant Sky is #5 on this week's Upnorth chart on MTV.
- all concerts in the Netherlands are sold out.

As you might have noticed the site now got a new lay out, which is more in the style of the new album. At the same time we have the pleasure of introducing the new interview section with translated interviews and reviews from the Danish media.

The Danish band Maborosi will be the supporting band for Saybia in Denmark. You can listen to their music on www.maborosi.dk.

I surrender will be the next single! This has been confirmed by the official Saybia website.

Due to an error at our provider, the website couldn't be reached this entire night. The MySQL server was unreachable and since this site is for about 70% depending on the MyQSL, most of the site was not reachable.

The problem has been solved and we hope that it won't occur anymore!

We also forgot to tell you that the lyrics to "A kind of eden" and "I will let you know" were added to the lyricspage!

We updated the discography. Both the "Brilliant Sky" single and the album "These are the days" were added!

The new Saybia album has been released in the Netherlands today!

After listening very hard to "Bend the Rules", the lyrics are online in the lyrics section, so now you have time to learn it by rote for Monday!

"Bend the rules" will be next and with the release of the album, the rest will follow!

The Danish magazine Chili has reviewed the new album and given it 4 out of 5 possible chilis.
"Here we were walking around thinking that Saybia was a bunch of regular, earthbound, and almost boring guys in worn out denim clothes. That kind, who easily can be successful without losing balance because of that. And then it shows that the massive breakthrough with the debut The Second You Sleep almost broke up the band. Resulting in flat batteries, artistic disorder and dying friendships. “Highways and hotels and headliner shows, it’s all just making me sad”, Søren Huus sings somewhere on the new album These Are The Days. An album that in such an extent shows a band, which nearly cracked up. “We’re standing close now, to breaking up, from coast to coast, we wave our flags for nothing”, it continues in another of the songs, where Søren wrote his way out of the crisis. It has obviously been completely bad, but Saybia succeeded in finding focus again and These Are The Days is actually an artistic step forward for the band. The resemblance to Travis and Coldplay, which was too big on the debut album, is toned down here. But it is still the melancholy and the wind-swept feelings, which mark the album. Because even though the album starts off half rocked with the excellent single Brilliant Sky, it is the ballads that dominate. It gets too grandiose sometimes as are Søren Huus’ lyrics not always sophisticated. But there are several songs that will be genuine Saybia hits – the smoochy tune Surrender and the comprehensive Bend The Rules as the best suggestions.
Almost 130.000 Danes bought The Second You Sleep and they will not go wrong in buying the new album. Søren Huus still has a fine and identifying voice and the band has added more facets to their playing. Hopefully Saybia has learned to control their success because with These Are The Days noting predicts that it will end soon."

In the Netherlands, the single "Brilliant Sky" is included on the OORGASM cd (which comes once in a while with the popular Dutch music magazine OOR) this week!

When you live in the Netherlands, you should get it now to listen to this track even before the release of the single and the album!

Finally!

After weeks of hard working, we will finally reveal the English version of this website on 1 september 2004!
